Poet and Playwright A-lan Holt in Conversation at Stanford University. Her talk, Moonwork: Art Practice as Spiritual Practice will be held at 4:30-6:00 at the Black Community Services Center. This lecture is part of a quarter-long series introducing students to leading artists, creatives, and scholars affiliated with the Institute for Diversity in the Arts. Through a series of talks guests reveal how their work illuminates crucial questions of identity, diversity, and aesthetics. Events are free and open to the public.

Books will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served.

Moonwork will be available in two editions
The first edition consists of 28 handmade artist books. They are 7.25" x 7.5" hardcover, hand-bound books that comprise of 100 pages of poetry and hidden elements within. A very limited number from this handmade edition will be available for $120.
Moonwork's softcover edition has a beautifully textured moon crater design and includes custom detailing. The publication comprises of 100 pages of poetry and will be available for purchase for $25.
